About Us

Founded in 2010, our league has grown to consist of two travel teams (“Gang Green” and “Scarlet Fever”) as well as our junior team (“Frostbite”). The Wheat City Roller Derby League is powered by the skaters, each with their own passion for the sport. The league has been structured so every skater has the chance to be involved with the organization both on and off the track.

Yesterday was a big day for our league! Our junior team Frostbite travelled to Estevan, playing two tough teams with a small roster of skaters. They played their best and we are always so proud of them! Scarlet Fever faced the challenge of hosting a game in a new venue (We love you Virden!) as well as skating against some of the most talented and experienced skaters in our region - Pile O'Bones Derby Club None of us could have skated without the dedication and PATIENCE of amazing referees, NSO's and our announcer Chris of Death. Lastly, without fans supporting our games we couldn't play at all. We had a great crowd in Virden, thanks to everyone who travelled from near and far! Also thanks to Photography By Hugo Girouard for shooting the game, we are always so excited to see the photos.

Thank You Sponsors!
